What is CBD?
CBD or Cannabidiol as it’s technically known is one of many natural compounds found in the hemp plant, known collectively as cannabinoids. It is a natural organic non–psychoactive cannabinoid
CBD is extracted from hemp, usually from the Cannabis Sativa plant, and has very low levels of THC.
CBD Oil is NOT the same as “Hemp Oil” you can get in many high street shops.
CBD oil is extracted from the buds and flowers of the plant whereas “Hemp Oil” is made by pressing the seeds.
Hemp Oil has many fantastic properties, but these are entirely different to CBD Oil.
What are CBD Trade products derived from?
All CBD Trade products are derived from the Cannabis Sativa plant.
This CBD Oil contains less than 0.2% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is well below the legal requirements and nowhere near enough to have any effect; unlike medical marijuana products that contain high levels of THC.
This means that alls products availbale from CBD Trade are completely non-psychoactive and legal to sell and buy in the UK.
Does CBD contain THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)? Can I get high?
The specific strain of cannabis plant used to make our CBD Oil means that the THC level is well within the legal limits and you will not get ‘high’.
Products containing THC are illegal in the United Kingdom and CBD contains no psychoactive properties. You can safely use CBD oil whilst maintaining a clear mind and active lifestyle.
Why am I not feeling the desired effect?
CBD Oil does not contain THC so you will not feel any psychoactive effect.
The calming effect of CBD Oil that many people experience depends on many factors such the amount consumed, the rate at which it is consumed, your body mass, and your metabolism.
What illnesses does CBD help?
As a food supplement CBD can help to maintain and support your health and a healthy lifestyle.
All CBD Trade products are sold as food supplements and intended to help promote everyday well-being. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or illness.
To ascertain if CBD Oil is a suitable product for you we encourage you to research online as there is a wealth of information out there.
As with any supplement, please consult your doctor before use.
Is CBD Oil Legal?
Yes. CBD Trade exclusively sell legal hemp extracts, not high THC cannabis.
Our products are derived from EU and US approved hemp strains and as such are completely legal to sell and buy in the UK and throughout the EU.
CBD Oil is a non–controlled substance in the UK and is classified as a food supplement.
Laws change outside of the EU and other parts of the world are less liberal, therefore we are unable sell our products outside of the EU.
Are CBD and THC the same thing?
CBD and THC are the two main ingredients in the cannabis plant so are often confused.
However, other than both being called cannabinoids, they are not the same thing.
THC is the compound that can get you ‘high’ whereas CBD is completely non-psychoactive.
CBD Oil from CBD Trade contains virtually no THC whatsoever so is 100% safe to use.

How is CBD oil extracted?
CBD Oil is extracted from hemp through a technique called CO2 extraction.
Hemp is used because it doesn’t contain THC; CO2 extraction is the preferred method as it enables an oil to be produced that yields the full spectrum of cannabinoids in the Cannabis Sativa plant.
CBD Oil extracts contain a wide range of cannabinoids, Terpenes, minerals, fatty acids and vitamins which ensures the finished product is nourishing and recommended as a dietary supplement.
How can you ensure your products potency, purity & quality?
We only work with verified suppliers and quality CBD sources.
Our suppliers provide batch certification with every consignment and, as a GMP accredited food supplement facility, we also send batches of for independent third party testing.
This testing is important and that we only provide the highest quality product to our customers.
No harmful solvents are used in the processing of our CBD oil and all our products are completely Solvent, Pesticide and GMO Free.
What is the ‘Entourage Effect’?
The Entourage Effect is the process in which all parts of the Cannabis plant work together to increase effectiveness.
If some of the important compounds are removed this lessens the effect that the CBD Oil has on the body so CBD Trade only whole plant extracts.
If a CBD Oil is too heavily refined they can lose key components which make a significant and positive contribution to the overall effectiveness of the product.
